General Electric DEF projector lamp. New old stock. Exact box shown above. Box has some fading on end flap, a price sticker, and minor writing.
This bulb has an ANSI code designation of DEF. With the same voltage, wattage, and pin configuration, it is often used as a substitute for the DCA or DCF, and will work in projectors calling for any one of those codes, DEF, DCA, or DCF.
Bulbs are very fragile, and their 10-hour AVERAGE lifespan will be shortened by improper handling (touching the glass part with bare hands, moving projector while bulb is still hot, or rough treatment in general).
After cleaning (in case anyone had previously handled a bulb), I do an actual test in a projector, to make sure I am offering a good bulb. A simple ohmmeter continuity test would not show if a bulb has an air leak (which would cause it to frost up as soon as voltage is applied).
This will be sent double-boxed with extra cushioning.
